If you have arrived in this remote corner of Wider Sea’s website, I need to thank you for your curiosity and I guess you wish to know something about my motivation for creating and running this business. It revolves around technology, people, and creativity.
I am an engineer, specifically a naval architect, with a profound interest in technology and innovation. I began my career in R&D, learning about structures and propulsion. However, my curiosity led me towards understanding the needs of those who invest in ships—those who use them as tools for business. What do they value, and what do they miss?
These questions guided me into technical sales, where I became fascinated by the decision-making processes involved in choosing one technical solution over another. After gaining necessary experience in frontline sales and business development, life presented me with a new challenge opportunity as I was laid off during the pandemic.
This turning point inspired me to harness my experience and create something new.
I envisioned a specialized firm that excels in technical sales, helping companies developing their business by taking the best care of their clients.
More than just a business, I wanted to nurture the positive spirit that emerges when people from diverse backgrounds and experiences come together to create something extraordinary — in our case: ships, magnificent ships.
